The Many Shades of Love
Feb 21 | 22 @ 2pm
Celebrate Valentine’s Weekend with the New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra as we present an evening devoted to the great Romantic masterpieces that have captured hearts for generations.
As many shades as there are in a palette, there are shades of love: altruistic, romantic and paternal are obvious, but how about denied and betrayed? For this, we have opera, and we have Shakespeare. An afternoon of arias is finished with Sergei Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet.

Join us as the NH Phil brings these beloved works to life on stage—an unforgettable celebration of love, artistry, and the enduring power of great music.

Antonio Vivaldi, Four Seasons and Ralph Vaughan Williams Symphony No. 5 with Special Guest Soloist, David Kim from The Philadelphia Orchestra
April 18 | 19 @ 2pm
The New Hampshire Philharmonic Orchestra continues its season with a dynamic and emotionally rich program featuring special guest soloist David Kim, Concertmaster of The Philadelphia Orchestra. This unforgettable concert pairs the gentle lyricism and serenity of Ralph Vaughan Williams's Fifth Symphony with the vivid imagery of Antonio Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, showcasing Kim’s virtuosity and expressive depth. During his time in New Hampshire, Mr. Kim will also share his artistry beyond the concert hall, performing for residents at local independent living communities and leading inspiring master classes for Salem-area music students, deepening the Phil’s commitment to musical excellence and community engagement.

Folk Voices and Fantasies: Music Rooted in Culture and Imagination
May 30 | 31 @ 2pm
Guest Soloist: William Yeh,
2025 Sempre Musick Grand Prix Award Winner

Igor Stravinsky: Petrushka
Max Bruch: Scottish Fantasy
Carlos Chávez: Sinfonía India

This concert celebrates folk traditions and cultural storytelling. Chávez’s Sinfonía India (1935–36) incorporates indigenous Mexican melodies and percussion, honoring native heritage with rhythmic vitality. Bruch’s Scottish Fantasy (1880) evokes the spirit of Scotland through folk tunes and Romantic lyricism, with the violin portraying a poetic narrator. Stravinsky’s Suite from Petrushka (1947) condenses his ballet about a tragic puppet into a vivid concert piece, blending Russian folk color, bold rhythms, and shifting moods. Together, these works offer a journey through national identity, folklore, and fantasy, revealing how composers reimagine tradition through bold orchestration and imaginative storytelling.
